I cannot stress this enough. There are very few rental vehicles on Lanai. During peak season (holidays, summer), they can be fully booked six months or more in advance. The moment you book your flight or ferry, your very next step should be securing your 4x4. This isn't an exaggeration - I've seen disappointed visitors unable to explore the island because they waited too long to book.
📋 Read and Respect the Rules
Every rental company will provide a map and a list of forbidden zones. These aren't suggestions; they are rules designed to protect you, the vehicle, and the island's fragile environment.
