Kalani MillerFarmers Markets: The Heart of Local Life
The absolute best way to taste the real Kauai is to visit one of our farmers markets. This is where you can buy everything from sweet apple bananas and sunrise papayas to fresh-caught ahi, vibrant tropical flowers, and locally made jams and honey. It's an experience for all the senses.
16 Grove Farm Market (Saturdays)
This is the big one. Consistently voted the "Best of Kauai," this market at Puhi Park from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM is a must-do Saturday morning activity. You'll find everything: produce, fresh fish, hot food stands, local crafts, and live music. It's a vibrant community gathering.
17 Kauai Community Market (Saturdays)
Another fantastic Saturday option at Kauai Community College from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM with a huge array of vendors. It strongly features Kauai Grown products and even produce from the college's own sustainable farming students. A great place to find unique food products like local cheese, coffee, and honey.
18 Pau Hana Monday Market
At Kukui Grove Center on Mondays from 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM, this is a great "after work" market. Perfect for stocking up on farm-fresh produce, beautiful flowers, and local snacks for the week ahead.
19 Lihue Sunshine Market (Tuesdays)
At the Historic County Building on Tuesdays from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, this is a quick, no-frills, produce-only market run by the county. It's an ideal stop for grabbing some fresh fruit for a beach picnic.
